Edgewise stock has surged over 50% today however on Phase 1 data for EDG-7500, a cardiac sarcomere modulator for hypertrophic cardiomyopathy and diastolic dysfunction. The positive Phase 1 data for EDG-7500 significantly impacts Edgewise's valuation, highlighting the importance of considering early-stage assets. There is a long path to a potential approval shot, however, and the reliability of a 7-patient data set is not sufficient for a "buy" recommendation at this time. One for the watchlist.
