Carlisle: Not A Bad Bet, If You Can Withstand Short-Term Uncertainties

Summary The stock of Carlisle Companies has lagged its industrial peers and the Russell 1000 over the past year, witnessing a -9% decline. End-market conditions, particularly for the residential markets, look dicey in H1, and this could continue to weigh on CSL. However, CSL is poised to deliver sturdy operating leverage over the next 3 years with aggregate EBITDA margin improvement of 200bps over the next 3 years, and superior earnings growth. CSL is likely one of the favorites of the archetypal income investor, but we have a mixed perspective on its dividend at this juncture. CSL is trading below all its 3 key moving averages on the daily chart, but the long-term charts offer some hope. Read the full article on Seeking Alpha

Carlisle Companies: A Very Interesting Construction Materials Business

Summary Carlisle Companies has seen a 25% pullback, bringing shares to year-ago levels, presenting a potential buying opportunity given its solid 2024 outlook and ambitious 2030 targets. The company has fully transitioned to a pure-play building product business, achieving impressive operating margins and focusing on innovation and megatrends like energy efficiency and recycling. Despite a 16% fall in 2023 sales, Carlisle's strategic acquisitions and divestments have positioned it for growth, with 2024 sales expected to increase by 5% and margins to expand. With shares trading at 18-19 times current earnings and a goal to double EPS by 2030, I am increasingly optimistic and plan to buy dips. Read the full article on Seeking Alpha
