California Water Service Group: Poor Performance (Rating Downgrade)

Summary California Water Service faces significant CapEx needs, regulatory challenges, and earnings volatility, leading to a revised price target and a "Hold" rating. Despite stable fundamentals, the company's debt levels and negative free cash flow necessitate a more conservative valuation approach. The company's current valuation at $48/share is above my target of $45/share, making it less attractive for investment at this time. Future risks include high investment requirements, inflation, and macroeconomic factors, which could impede earnings growth and justify the "Hold" rating. Read the full article on Seeking Alpha
