Summary After the acquisition of Cornerstone Bank in Q3, loan growth will likely be below average through 2025. Nevertheless, the net interest income will surge because of the M&A. The margin will expand in a rate downcycle because more deposits than loans will re-price downwards. I haven’t factored in possible new tariffs in my rate outlook.
