QXO, Round Two: Time For A Pause That Refreshes?

Summary QXO has rapidly consolidated the building materials distribution sector, acquiring Beacon Roofing, Kodiak Partners, and TopBuild within 15 months. Despite a sharp share price decline, QXO secured $3 billion in preferred equity from Apollo and Temasek, ensuring robust institutional backing. QXO now leads all comers in roofing, insulation, and MRO, with 1,150 locations and rapidly increasing revenue. I am holding QXO long-term, valuing Brad Jacobs’ proven roll-up strategy, despite the short-term share price. Read the full article on Seeking Alpha
Narrative Update Jul 22

QXO's Roll-Up´s fair value is around $32 based on $40B revenue by 2031 but subject to great execution

July 21, 2026 | Price: ~$14.40 | Follow-up to my pre-TopBuild memo (basis $21.20) - Base case: QXO grows from $18.1B pro-forma revenue to $36B by 2030 (~$40B in 2031) — 3% organic plus FCF-funded tuck-ins, no new equity — while EBITDA margin transforms from 11.8% pro-forma to 12.5% ($4.5B EBITDA) via TopBuild's 18% installation mix plus the $300M procurement/pricing synergy program. That yields ~$2.05 EPS on ~1.16B diluted shares after the Series C converts at $23.25.

QXO aims for $24B revenue by 2031 with AI-driven margin expansion (Priced for good execution)

Target Entry Point: Under $17 QXO represents a disciplined M&A consolidation play in the $800B building products distribution market, led by Brad Jacobs — the most proven serial acquirer in modern industrial history (300x cumulative returns across four prior platforms, ~500 acquisitions). The company has built a $1B+ EBITDA run-rate in under 10 months by acquiring Beacon Roofing Supply ($11B) and Kodiak Building Partners ($2.25B), creating the largest publicly traded building products distributor in North America.

QXO: An Intriguing Pivot That May Not Be Plain Sailing

Summary QXO, formerly SilverSun Technologies, has underperformed in 2025, dropping 16% YTD, even as it looks to build a name in the building products distribution industry. While the jury is out on the value that M&A adds to a business, we see some merit in QXO's strategy of building scale. QXO is poised to deliver exceptional revenue growth through the next few years, and for the level of revenue growth on offer, the P/S multiple looks very cheap. We also touch upon some of the dicey sub-plots associated with QXO. QXO won't appeal to momentum players, but there are signs of bearish momentum abating on the larger time frame. QXO: An Under-The-Radar Company Set To Disrupt A $800 Billion Industry

Summary QXO Inc. aims to disrupt the $800 billion building products distribution industry through acquisitions and technology, enhancing efficiency and customer experience. Led by Brad Jacobs, QXO has raised over $4 billion, positioning itself for strategic acquisitions and technological advancements in the industry. QXO's strategy focuses on e-commerce, logistics, and data analytics to streamline operations and drive growth in the fragmented building products market. Despite significant shareholder dilution and operational losses, QXO's substantial cash reserves and strategic acquisitions present a potential "special situation" investment opportunity.
